Attending a service at Journey Ministries
We look forward to seeing you at one of our services and we want to make our visitors feel comfortable.
Here is what you can expect when you join us.
Come on in - The first thing you will notice is that we meet in a public school. Our goal is to create a non-threatening, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. You'll notice people gather for fellowship before services, there are ushers and hosts who will help you find your way around the building. At the info table you can browse or sign up for our upcoming events. We do have unmarked and well trained security present during all services... so sit back, relax, and know you and your family are safe.
While you wait - Come a little early and get to know the friendly people. While you wait for service to start, you can take your children to our kid’s ministry or you can join us for a nice hot cup of free coffee provided by Biggby Coffee of Davison.
What to expect: Kids - We welcome birth through 6th grade to join us in their own unique, age appropriate experience. When you enter the lobby you will notice the kids check in. A host will help answer questions and get your child signed in to our secure children's area, please let them know this is your first time visiting Journey Ministries. Once your child is checked in you will receive a security tag, please show that to the teacher when you drop off and pick up your child. There will be unmarked security present in the kids area throughout the entire service.
What to expect: Music - Our adult worship service is located in the school gym, join us as we come together in a time of worship and music. We know that different kinds of music minister to different kinds of people. At Journey we believe we're family, it is our desire to vary the style of music to meet the diverse needs of our church family.
What to expect: Giving - If you are visiting we don't expect you to put money in the offering basket. If you filled out a connect card simply place that in the offering basket as it passes by. If you consider Journey your church home, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider giving to God in this manner. Giving to Journey Ministries allows us to continue to meet the needs of the church family and our community.
What to expect: Teaching - We believe the Bible is practical for you today. At Journey we use the history and context of the Bible to answer questions we face, right now.
At this time we do not video record our services. However, we often have photographers present to capture moments that we place on our website, print and social media. If you do not wish to be photographed please let the photographer know.
