F.A.Q's
We look forward to seeing you at one of our services and we want to make our visitors feel comfortable.
Here is what you can expect when you join us.
Come on in - Our goal is to create a non-threatening, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. You'll notice people gather for fellowship before services, there are ushers and hosts who will help you find your way around the building. At the info table you can browse or sign up for our upcoming events. We do have unmarked and well trained security present during all services... so sit back, relax, and know you and your family are safe.
While you wait - Come a little early and get to know the friendly people. While you wait for service to start, you can take your children to our kid’s ministry or fill out the connect card so we can get to know you better.
What are the weekend experiences like?
Our weekend experience is composed of 2 primary elements, powerful worship and a life-changing message. Our Weekend message is communicated by our teaching team. We know different kinds of music minister to different kinds of people. At Journey we believe we're family, it is our desire to vary the style of music to meet the diverse needs of our church family. Our goal is to be both Biblical and relevant to life's challenges. The weekend experience lasts generally about 1 hour 15 minutes.
What about my children?
We welcome birth through 6th grade to join us in their own unique, age appropriate experience. When you enter the lobby you will notice the kids check in. A host will help answer questions and get your child signed in to our secure children's area, please let them know you are new at Journey Ministries. Once your child is checked in you will receive a security tag, please show that to the teacher when you drop off and pick up your child. There will be unmarked security present in the kids area throughout the entire service.
What should I wear?
God doesn't care what you wear, neither do we. You'll find most people in jeans and a casual shirt, but you can come dressed as formal or informal as you would like.
Am I expected to give money?
If you are a guest, there is no pressure to give, but you're totally welcome to give if you would like. If you are a regular attendee and call Journey your home, we encourage you to give to honor God and support this ministry.
When are your services?
We meet at 10AM at Hahn Intermediate School. 500 S. Dayton St. Davison, MI 48423. There are also weekday activities that happen all year round. Please check our calendar.
Where are you located?
The Journey Center 102 S. Main St. Davison, MI 48423 This is where our offices and weekday ministries are hosted.
What is baptism?
Christian baptism is the means by which a person makes a public profession of faith and discipleship. Christian baptism illustrates, in dramatic style, the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. At the same time, it also illustrates our death to sin and new life in Christ. Very simply, baptism is an outward testimony of the inward change in a believer's life.
What is communion?
Christian communion is a remembrance of what Christ did for us and a celebration of what we receive as a result of His sacrifice. At Journey Ministries we observe communion on the last Sunday of the month.
