How do I become a Christ-follower?
Recognize your situation. - You are a sinner.
Sin is a biblical word that means “to miss the mark”. Each of us have rebelled against God’s perfect standard. 1 John 1:8 says, "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Sin breaks our close relationship with God. It causes us to fear God and to try to live our lives outside of His will.

All the best attempts in the world won’t get you to where you need to be with God. Many people say things like, My mother was a Christians so…
It doesn’t matter hat you believe, just be sincere…
I’ll give up my bad habits…
I’ll work really hard and earn it…
I’ll be religious and go to church…
I’ll give money to the needy…
The result of these attempts is worthless. Proverbs 16:25 says, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death." - A relationship with God is not based on anything you do.
There is good news:
God Himself came to earth as a human being to bring us back to Himself. If any other way would have worked, Jesus Christ would not have had to come. The way is a person. Jesus has already taken care of your sin problem.
Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

1 Timothy 2:5 says, "For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."
Romans 5:8 says, "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
God has already done His part to restore our relationship to Him. He took the initiative.
Now He waits for each of us to individually accept what He has done for us.
What does God want me to do?
Admit that God has not been first place in your life and ask Him to forgive your sins.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from every wrong.” 1 John 1:9
Believe that Jesus died to pay for your sins and that he rose again on Easter, and is alive today.
“If you confess that Jesus is your Lord, and you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name (Jesus) by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
Accept God’s free gift of salvation. Don’t try to earn it. Our relationship to God is not restored by anything we do, but on the basis of what Jesus already did for us. “For it is by grace you are saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
Invite Jesus Christ to come into your life and be the Leader (Lord) of your life. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13
If you’ve accepted Jesus as your Savior. Please let me know. I’d love to celebrate with you.
